Android Studio Java

You have installed the newest JDK, but in Android Studio you are still getting message:

android n requires the ide to be running with java 1.8 or later

The problem is not with Java, but with configuration of your software.

Click Configure on the bottom right corner of the start menu panel of Android Studio, go to System Settings, Android SDK, and see if the top option marked with (N) isn’t saying that it is “partially installed”. If it is, then that may be the root of the problem, uncheck it.

Check an option below to suit the version of the Android you have chosen to develop for, or, even better, check all of the options from below the top one marked with (N) and down to the version you are interested in.
