SAMBA error: Can’t become connected user!

You try to connect from Windows 7 to a SAMBA share. Credentials are all right, but you can’t log in. SAMBA log shows the following error:

Can’t become connected user!

Try this fix:

Edit the file /etc/samba/smb.conf and add a section ipc$, containing list of user names allowed to connect to the share:

[ipc$]
   valid users = user1 user2 user3
