Custom colors in OpenOffice

You may want to use a color which is originally not there in the OpenOffice color palette.

This is not a problem, since You can add your own named color to the palette.

The process for doing this is a bit obscure, but actually a very simple one:

  1. Go to Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice.org -> Colors.
  2. Enter a name for the new color in the “Name” control.
  3. Modify R, G, B values.
  4. Click “Add”.
